Stray terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and Colin Parsons / Robot Yoga ("we", "us") for using Stray, a voice-first personal AI assistant currently in private beta. By creating an account or using Stray you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy, which is part of this agreement. If you don't agree, don't use Stray.
This is beta software
Stray is early beta software, provided as-is and as-available, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. It may break, behave unexpectedly, lose data, go offline, or change or shut down without notice. Don't rely on it for anything where failure would seriously harm you — including emergencies, medical, legal, or financial decisions. Stray's responses are AI-generated and can be wrong.
Who can use Stray
You must be 18 or older and located in the United States during the beta. One account per person; keep your sign-in credentials to yourself.
Usage limits
Beta accounts have weekly usage limits (the free tier's limits are intentionally small, and paid tiers raise them). We may change limits, rate-limit, throttle, or pause accounts to keep the service healthy or costs sane. When you hit a limit, capture keeps working and processing resumes at your account's next weekly reset or when you upgrade.
Acceptable use
- No illegal use, and no using Stray to harass, stalk, or harm others.
- No reselling, sublicensing, or offering Stray to third parties as a service.
- No attempting to break, probe, or overload the service, or to access other users' data.
Your content
Your recordings, transcripts, and data remain yours. You give us the limited license needed to operate the service for you — storing, transcribing, and processing your content to produce your responses, as described in the privacy policy. We don't sell your data or use it to train models.
Account termination
You can stop using Stray at any time and request deletion of your data via robot.yoga/contact. We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for violating these terms, or as part of winding down the beta. On termination, data handling follows the privacy policy's deletion process.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Stray. To the extent any liability is not excludable, our total liability is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of California.
Changes
We may update these terms as the beta evolves. For material changes we'll update this page and, when practical, notify active users in-app or by email. Continuing to use Stray after changes take effect means you accept them.
